ART TALK WITH A TWIST - Thursday 15 November – Pre-Raphaelites - 7.30-9pm

15.00

Would you love to know a little bit more about Art History, but not be overloaded with information?

If you've ever snuck into a guided talk in a museum or gallery, and just felt the subject matter was too dense so you quickly melted away, fear not!

Art talks with a twist by Ann Davies from Art Talks.

This time: “The Pre-Raphaelite movement was founded in 1848 by a group of young artists aged between 19 and 21 years of age .  They were young upstarts or demonstrated prodigious talent depending on your point view. Either way they were exciting and strove to use their considerable skills to develop a new kind of art.  Along the way, they lived life to the full. Ann’s talk will cover some prominent paintings that emerged from this art movement together with the often scandalous lives that influenced their creation.
